Deputy Chief Captain C.A. Crowder

Deputy Chief Captain Christopher A. Crowder graduated from West Virginia State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Captain Crowder was hired by the South Charleston Police Department in 2002 and graduated from the 118th class of the West Virginia State Police Academy in 2003.

Captain Crowder has served in various roles with the South Charleston Police Department including Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer (FTO), Shift Supervisor, Shift Commander and Patrol Commander. 

Captain Crowder was assigned to his current position of Deputy Chief/ Patrol Commander in 2018. Captain Crowder supervises the Uniformed Patrol Division, School Resource Officers, FTO supervisors and the Highway Safety Coordinator.
